David Urban, an adviser to Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign in Pennsylvania, has registered to lobby on "immigration issues" for Kuwaiti logistics company Kuwait and Gulf Link Holding, known as KGL, according to federal lobbying filings reviewed by The Digital Free Press.

Urban's firm, LGL Advisors LLC of Fort Myers, Florida, filed the registration on Monday, Oct. 19. The client is listed as "Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP obo Kuwait and Gulf Link Holding," meaning the firm was hired through the law and lobbying firm Brownstein on KGL's behalf. The filing describes the client as a "Law firm on behalf of provider of integrated supply chain management services."

The only issue listed is immigration. The specific issue reads in full: "Providing government affairs services related to immigration issues." The registration gives Sept. 1, 2026, as the date the work began, and names Urban as the only lobbyist.

The filing lists Urban's past government positions as chief of staff to the late Sen. Arlen Specter, chairman of the American Battle Monuments Commission, and member of the Board of Visitors of the U.S. Military Academy. According to his biography at Torridon Law, where he is of counsel, Urban joined the 2016 Trump campaign early as an adviser for Pennsylvania.

David Urban Reports $100,000 in His First Quarter on the Account

One day later, on Oct. 20, LGL Advisors filed its third-quarter report on the account. It lists $100,000 in income for July through September and says Urban lobbied the U.S. Senate on the same immigration issue.

The LGL filings do not say which immigration matter is involved.

KGL's Wider Washington Team

KGL already had Washington representation. Brownstein's own third-quarter report for Kuwait & Gulf Link Holding, also filed Oct. 20, lists $150,000 in income and two issues: "Government contracts related to defense logistics specifically in the Middle East," lobbied at the Defense Department, the State Department and both chambers of Congress, and "Visa processing issues," lobbied at the Department of Homeland Security and the State Department. The report says KGL Holding and Kuwait and Gulf Link Transport "have an interest in visa processing issues impacting travel."

Brownstein reported $50,000 from KGL in each of the first two quarters of 2026. A third firm, Holly Strategies, reports $20,000 a quarter from KGL on defense contracting and the annual defense bills.

The Digital Free Press found no news coverage of Urban's registration or his $100,000 report before publication, beyond a one-line listing of new registrations in a trade newsletter.

The Digital Free Press reached out to LGL Advisors, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and KGL for comment on Oct. 23; no response was received by publication.
