Former Suburban Chicago School Board President Indicted Over $1.3 Million 'Commission' From COVID-Funded Air Purifier Purchase
A federal grand jury in Chicago indicted the former president of the East Aurora School District 131 Board of Education, alleging she steered a $2.7 million air purifier purchase paid with federal COVID relief money while a company where she was chief financial officer received a $1.3 million "commission." The indictment, read by The Digital Free Press, says she also voted for a later $201,077 payment to the same seller.
