Justice Department Appeals Judge's Order Barring Prosecution Threats Against Election Workers
The Justice Department has asked the Ninth Circuit to review a temporary restraining order that bars it from threatening state and local election workers with prosecution for processing ballots of voters it alleges are ineligible. The order, issued without a hearing four days before Election Day, also requires the department to tell the court about pending grand jury subpoenas and search warrant applications tied to its voter lists.
