Michigan Judge Orders Clerks Statewide to Keep Election-Day Pollbook Data; Justice Department Filing Questions State's Voter List
A Michigan judge ordered the Secretary of State to tell every local clerk to keep electronic pollbook data from the Nov. 3 election, pausing a rule requiring deletion within days of certification. The order came in a suit by a township clerk joined by the RNC and Michigan GOP. A Justice Department filing said deletions would not be a prosecution priority this year but questioned the state's voter list under federal law.
