A federal judge ordered DHS to halt certain field investigations into suspected noncitizen voting in nine states, including Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, saying the tactics likely violate the Voting Rights Act. DHS says it is focused on removing aliens who vote. The order is paused until Friday for an appeal.
