Cotton, Schiff and Other Senators Warn FDA That Knockoff Weight-Loss Drug Retatrutide Is Flooding the Internet
A bipartisan group of nine senators, led by Jim Banks and including Tom Cotton and Adam Schiff, is pressing the FDA to crack down on online sellers using "for research use only" labels to sell unapproved drugs, pointing to a surge in knockoff versions of the experimental weight-loss drug retatrutide. Their Oct. 14 letter cites a 265% jump in related poisonings and asks for a briefing. TDFP first reports the letter.
