MTN Group, the African telecom giant that owns 49% of Iran's Irancell and is fighting U.S. lawsuits it denies, has paid Washington lobbyists $1.54 million since 2024, federal filings reviewed by The Digital Free Press show. MTN told TDFP its Irancell investment is "essentially frozen."
