DOJ Files Third Criminal Case Against James Comey, Alleging 2016 Disclosure of National Defense Information
The Justice Department has charged former FBI Director James Comey with disclosing national defense information in 2016, the third criminal case it has brought against him. Prosecutors filed the two-count information in Washington on Oct. 5, 10 years after the alleged disclosure; Comey's lawyers say the statute of limitations requires a grand jury indictment and have asked a judge to dismiss the case.
