The Panama Maritime Authority, which runs Panama's ship registry, has registered Checkmate Government Relations to lobby Washington on "issues regarding flag vessels," a federal filing reviewed by The Digital Free Press shows. The filing comes as the U.S. sanctions Panama-flagged tankers it says carried Iranian oil.
