A new House Judiciary Committee report says the Fairfax County Sheriff's Office in Virginia declined at least 1,670 ICE detainers from 2023 through 2025 and accuses Commonwealth's Attorney Steve Descano of using immigration status to steer charging decisions. Descano has rejected the allegations.
