Final Arch Plans Filed With Planning Commission Show an Observation Deck and Elevators, but No Sign of the ‘Military Complex’ Trump Described
In September, President Trump said his planned 250-foot arch near Arlington National Cemetery would become a “top grade Military Complex” with drones and snipers. The final plans now before the National Capital Planning Commission describe an observation deck, five elevators, granite cladding and visitor security screening. TDFP searched the documents: they do not mention drones for defense, snipers, ammunition or a military complex. The commission meets Nov. 5.
