ICE has signed 2,718 agreements letting state and local agencies take on immigration duties, its 287(g) page says. A review of ICE's own list by The Digital Free Press finds 2,589 were signed since Jan. 20, 2025, the pace roughly doubled this summer, and none of the 711 agreements signed since July 1 has its signed text posted; each is marked "link pending."
